Project Manager

Who we are.

Garon Consulting helps founders and marketing leaders fix their toughest commercial challenges using brand strategy. We are a fast-moving consultancy where the project manager is the heartbeat of the studio. You are the reason we ship great work on time and on budget. We don’t do micromanagement. We only hire people who can keep a cool head when everyone else is losing theirs.

The role.

We are looking for a solid project manager to run our workflow and keep the studio moving.

This is not a “traffic” role. It is not just forwarding emails.

  • Your job is to clear the path.
  • You will be trusted to manage client expectations directly.
  • You will be expected to spot bottlenecks before they happen.
  • You will protect the team’s time so they can focus on the work.
  • You will work closely with strategists and external partners, ensuring everything connects seamlessly.

What good looks like.

  • The team knows exactly what they are doing next week.
  • Clients never have to chase us for an update.
  • Projects stay profitable because scope creep is managed early.
  • The studio feels calm, even when we are busy.

What will not work.

  • If you panic under pressure.
  • If you think “more process” is always the answer.
  • If you avoid picking up the phone to solve a problem.
  • If you need to be told exactly what to do every morning.

Must haves

  • At least four years’ experience in a creative agency or consultancy environment.
  • Able to use AI tools to streamline reporting and scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of the creative process
  • A solid grasp of budget management and profitability.
  • Excellent people skills
  • The instinct to spot a project going off-rails and the guts to flag it immediately.
  • Highly organised and comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets and resource planning.
  • A great communicator.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day workflow of the studio, ensuring resources are allocated correctly.
  • Build and own project timelines, ensuring clients and the team stick to them.
  • Monitor project budgets and flag any risk of overburn immediately.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for operational queries from clients.
  • Coordinate with our external partners (designers, developers, lawyers) to ensure they deliver on time.
  • Organise internal reviews and ensure quality control before anything leaves the building.
  • Keep the “Jargon Jar” full by calling out nonsense when you hear it.
