Executive Assistant

Who we are.

Garon Consulting is a London-based strategic consultancy with a growing footprint in the US. Let’s be honest. Most EA jobs descriptions treat you like a glorified receptionist. They focus on booking flights and fetching coffee. This role is different. We need someone on the ground who acts less like an assistant and more like a chief of staff.

We don’t hire people who just want to fill a seat. We only work with people who can run a room, even if they aren’t the one speaking.

The role.

We are looking for a hyper-organised, multilingual executive assistant to manage our US operations and support senior leadership.

This is not a background role.
Your job is to create order out of chaos.

  • You will be the bridge between our London HQ and our US clients.
  • You will be trusted to handle sensitive commercial discussions.
  • You will be expected to make decisions when the directors are asleep in different time zones.

What we are looking for.

  • You are three steps ahead of the calendar.
  • Problems are solved before the leadership team even knows they exist.
  • You switch seamlessly between English and your second language to smooth over cultural gaps.
  • The office runs like clockwork, regardless of the time difference.

What will not work.

  • If you need constant direction.
  • If you think “that’s not my job” when a fire needs putting out.
  • If you get flustered when plans change (because they always do).

Must haves

  • At least five years’ experience supporting C-Suite or senior leadership, ideally in a creative or consultancy environment.
  • Native-level English and fluency in at least one other language (Spanish, French or Mandarin preferred).
  • Ability to work across time zones (London/US), without loosing track of details.
  • Strong understanding of how a consultancy makes money; you know which meetings matter and which ones can wait.
  • Excellent writing skills, you will often be drafting emails on behalf of leadership.
  • Tech-savvy: you use AI and modern tools to speed up workflows.
  • Thick skin, high emotional intelligence and absolute discretion.
  • The confidence to push back when a schedule is unrealistic.
    A great communicator.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex diaries and travel across multiple team zones, ensuring the team is where they need to be, when they need to be there.
  • Act as the primary gatekeeper and point of contact for US clients and partners.
  • Translate and localise documents or correspondence when necessary.
  • Organise and prepare for high-stakes client meetings, ensuring nothing is left to chance.
  • Support the London team with US market research and boots on the ground insight.
  • Handle personal administration for senior leaders.
  • Oversee US office logistics and expenses.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring they feel valued and heard.
