Senior Brand Strategist

Who we are.

Garon Consulting is a strategic brand consultancy that solves hard commercial problems for founders and marketing leaders. We don’t do fluff or jargon, and we definitely don’t charge for “ideation sessions” that go nowhere. We only work with clients who are ready to hear the truth about their business. That is non-negotiable.

The role.

We are looking for a senior brand strategist to own the thinking on our biggest projects.
This is not a “support” role. Your job is to find the answers.

  • You will be trusted to lead workshops with founders.
  • You will be expected to turn complex business data into a simple, sharp brand story.
  • You will protect the strategy from being diluted during the design phase.
  • You will work closely with our creative partners and head hunters, ensuring the brand vision stays consistent from the first deck to the final hire.

What good looks like.

  • Clients feel understood and relieved after speaking to you.
  • The creative team has a clear direction that excites them.
  • Your strategy survives the boardroom and gets built.
  • Complex problems become simple frameworks under your watch.

What will not work.

  • If you hide behind buzzwords.
  • If you are afraid to tell a CEO they are wrong.
  • If you think strategy stops when the design starts.
  • If you prefer long documents over clear conversations.

Must haves

  • At least eight years’ experience in a strategic brand consultancy or agency environment.
  • Able to adapt using AI effectively to speed up research and workflows.
  • Strong understanding of brand architecture, positioning and commercial modelling.
  • A solid grasp of how businesses make money.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • The confidence to lead a room of senior stakeholders without needing backup.
  • Clear commercial awareness.
  • A great communicator.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic definition for key client projects, from research to final proposition.
  • Run client workshops that produce useful insights, not just sticky notes.
  • Write clear, compelling creative briefs that inspire our design partners.
  • Collaborate with our talent search team to define the “employer brand” for headhunting briefs.
  • Oversee the rollout of the strategy, ensuring it remains intact during execution.
  • Be the guardian of the client’s commercial objectives within the agency.
  • Mentor junior team members and help raise the standard of our thinking.
